Beijing Development Imp.& Exp. Corporation Limited, jointly funded by the state, its employees and some natural persons, was established in 2002 with the approval by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, the predecessor of the existing Ministry of Commerce of China. As a modern enterprise, the corporation implements the general manager responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors, pays special attention to the overseas market, and follows the people-oriented personnel strategy, thus greatly promoting its international business while creating better welfare and more self-development opportunities for its employees.

The corporation has passed ISO-9001:2000 Quality Certification. As a member of the Group of 200 Enterprises with the Largest Export Volume, the corporation is enlisted in the 500 Largest Trading Enterprises of China and the Top-10 Best Enterprises of Chaoyang District of Beijing Municipality. In 2007 the corporation achieved a total sales volume of 258.67 million Yuan RMB, of which, Department One contributed 116.24 million Yuan RMB, Department Two contributed 125.99 million Yuan RMB, and the other departments concluded 16.44 million Yuan RMB.

Sticking to its development strategy of increasing economic efficiency, the corporation is heading for a group enterprise with multi-function striving in international market of trade and industry.
